HOVENSA will pay travel expenses for onsite interviews and relocation for most exempt-level positions. Relocation includes:

In-Bound — Air transportation for candidate and family members from the residence at time of hire to St. Croix. Family members may include spouse, fiancé or life partner, children or other dependent residents.

Out-Bound — Air transportation for employee and family members from St. Croix to the employee‘s point of hire upon severance of the employment relationship.

Reimbursement for up to three (3) pieces of excess baggage per family per inbound and outbound relocation.

Packing and shipping of households goods from primary residence at time of hire. All household goods being shipped to St. Croix must fit into a 40' sea container.

Shipment for up to two (2) vehicles (at least two licensed drivers in the household required). HOVENSA will pay for the use of a rental car for up to three (3) weeks until the arrival of shipped vehicle(s). Candidates choosing not to ship a vehicle will receive payment of $1,300 per vehicle not moved based on the number of vehicles allowed.

Packing, moving and shipping of an advance shipment of up to 350 pounds of personal items separate from sea shipment.

Reasonable expenses including meals, lodging and ground transportation for employee and resident dependent family members while traveling to St. Croix, commencing the day prior to departure from place of origin up to and including the day of arrival on St. Croix.

Vehicle rental for up to three (3) days prior to departure if vehicle must be picked up for shipment. Applicable for both inbound and outbound relocations.

A relocation company will provide assistance to the new hire in marketing and selling their primary residence to include payment of realtor commission up to 6% of sales price and miscellaneous closing costs not to exceed 1.5%.
